AIPAS Certifications

According AIPAS regulations, The American Instititue of Paraffin, Asphaltene and Scale provides the following Cerifications (Diplomados) This certificate is awarded to the student that has taken 80 hours of specialized professional training on Paraffin, Asphaltene and Scale and have taken and passed two tests. This certificate gives to student the knowledge to understand the phenomena of presence of Paraffin, Asphaltene or Scale in a reservoir, the mechanisms of Crystallization of deposition of Paraffin and Scale and Flocculation of Asphaltene and how these phenomena affect the production phase of the exploitation of a reservoir The certificate level I give understanding of the total phase behavior of reservoir fluids and the impact of PAS on recovery and setting of strategies to exploit a reservoir under the effect of Paraffin, Asphaltene and/or scale.

SPECIALIZED ENGINEER CERTIFICATE IN PAS Level II

This Certificate is awarded to the student that has completed 120 hour plus a PRACTICUM in his/her area of specialization under the supervision of one of AIPAS instructors via Internet. At this level of certification the student is capable of Consulting in area of specialization related to PAS.

SPECIALIZED ENGINEER CERTIFICATE IN PAS Level III

This Certificate is awarded to the student that has completed 160 hours of courses ( Four Professional courses) plus a research on the specialization area related to AIPAS under coordination with AIPAS faculty. The research topic is selected by the student or suggested by AIPAS faculty. At this level of certification the professional is capable to conduct research and teach courses in the area of specialization related to AIPAS.
